In plain English: SalesJet is an AI-powered sales assistant. When you message a business using SalesJet, your name, contact details and conversation are stored to power the AI responses. You can request deletion of your data or unsubscribe from messages at any time by texting STOP or emailing admin@elevynsystems.com.

2. What Data We Collect

When you interact with a business using the SalesJet platform (via WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, SMS, or email), we may collect:

Your name (if provided or from your messaging profile)
Your phone number or email address
The content of your messages and conversations
The channel you used to get in touch (e.g. WhatsApp, Instagram)
Booking information if you schedule a call
Payment information if you make a purchase (processed securely via Stripe)
Technical data such as timestamps of messages

If you create a SalesJet client account, we also collect your business name, industry, and service description which is used to configure your AI assistant.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

4. AI and Automated Processing

SalesJet uses artificial intelligence (AI) to generate responses to messages. This means your messages are processed automatically by an AI system (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to generate relevant replies.

The AI does not make legally significant automated decisions about you. A human (the business you contacted) has access to all conversations and can intervene at any time.

If you wish to speak with a human rather than an AI, you can request this at any time in your conversation.

5. Data Processors (Third Parties)

To operate SalesJet, we share data with the following trusted service providers who process data on our behalf:

6. How Long We Keep Your Data

Lead and conversation data: retained for 12 months from last activity, then deleted
Client account data: retained for the duration of the contract plus 6 months
Payment records: retained for 7 years as required by HMRC
Unsubscribed contacts: name and number retained on a suppression list only, to ensure we don't contact you again

7. Your Rights Under UK GDPR

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to Access

Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.

Right to Erasure ("Right to be Forgotten")

Request deletion of your personal data. We will comply within 30 days unless we have a legal obligation to retain it.

Right to Rectification

Request correction of inaccurate data we hold about you.

Right to Object

Object to processing based on legitimate interest, including direct marketing.

Right to Restrict Processing

Request that we limit how we use your data.

Right to Data Portability

Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@elevynsystems.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.

8. How to Stop Receiving Messages

You can opt out of AI-powered messages at any time:

WhatsApp/SMS: Reply with STOP to any message — you will immediately be removed and we will not contact you again
Instagram/Facebook: Reply with STOP or block the account
Email: Click the unsubscribe link in any email, or reply with UNSUBSCRIBE
All channels: Email admin@elevynsystems.com and we will remove you within 24 hours

We comply with all STOP/unsubscribe requests immediately and automatically.

9. Cookies

The SalesJet website (salesjet.co.uk) uses minimal cookies:

Session cookies: Used to keep you logged in to your dashboard. These are deleted when you close your browser.
Local storage: Used to store your login token locally on your device.

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

10. Data Security

We take data security seriously and implement the following measures:

All data transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted)
Passwords hashed using bcrypt (industry standard)
API keys and credentials stored as environment variables, never in code
JWT tokens used for authentication with expiry
Access to client data restricted by authentication

In the event of a data breach that affects your rights, we will notify you and the ICO within 72 hours as required by law.

11. Children's Data

SalesJet is a B2B platform intended for use by businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a minor, please contact us immediately at admin@elevynsystems.com.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Significant changes will be communicated to client account holders by email.

Continued use of SalesJet after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
